How it will work
Height and weight are converted to metric and divided as weight in kilograms over height in metres squared. The figure is reported as arithmetic about a body's mass and height, not as a health category.
What this tool will do
- Return the same figure in metric or imperial
- State that the number describes mass and height only
- Point below the standard underweight boundary to a qualified clinician
What this tool will not do
- Diagnose, categorise or grade anybody
- Estimate body fat or composition
- Store, transmit or link to anything entered
